Berkshire Pork

We raise Berkshire pigs on our farm, as they are relatively easy to  care for.  

They don't mind our cold winters, are excellent at foraging  for food and make exceptional mothers. 

They do take longer to raise or finish than commodity pork, but  "there is no free lunch in nature".  

This is a popular saying meaning  that it is impossible to get something for nothing.  This couldn't be  any truer for pork; 

The extra four months to 'finish' a pork naturally on  sunshine, roots and vegetables is well worth the wait.
